Drive to the Bang Pakong River in Chachoengsao province and make peace with the dolphins.
Every November and December, the Irrawaddy dolphin, the Pacific humpback dolphin, the Bottlenose dolphin and other species of the same large family visit the estuary to feast on the catfish. And they don't mind witnesses to their breakfast either, making this an ideal place for a day trip. The best place to watch the dolphins is from the fishing village of Tha Kham. Boat trips can also be arranged. Call the community-based tourism office at (038) 573 411-8.
