BTS skytrain fares to rise
Bangkok Mass Transit System Plc plans to raise fares on its skytrain elevated service, BTS chairman Keeree Kanjanapas said on Friday.
He said ticket prices have not been changed in eight years.
Fares range between 15 baht and 40 baht, with an average fare of 24 baht per trip.
Mr Keeree said the new fares will not hit the ceiling, capped at 56 baht.
The new rate is expected to be finalised in a month, he added.
