- Sangkhla Buri is in Kanchanaburi province and about 440km west of Bangkok. The distance from Muang Kanchanaburi to Sangkhla Buri is about 220km and it takes at least three hours to drive along the winding road.
- Public vans and buses to Sangkhla Buri are available at the bus terminal on Saeng Chuto Road in the town of Kanchanaburi. The van service runs from 7am to 4.30pm and vans leave every 20 minutes. The fare is 175 baht for a one-way trip. The bus service is available three times a day at 7.30am, 10am and 12.30pm. The fares are 168 and 216 baht for nonair conditioned and air conditioned buses respectively.
